Baxler, Yosef


Son of-David and Teresa. Born in Budapest, Hungary on March 15, 1932. His parents were executed by the Germans during the Holocaust, and in 1946 he escaped from Hungary and after a year of wandering through Italy and Cyprus, arrived in Israel in 1947. Yosef was absorbed in a youth company He was a member of the kibbutz and was a member of the kibbutz in 1949. He was one of the pillars of agriculture in the kibbutz and was involved in social life and was inclined to write poetry, In April 1953 and served in the Meron district. After his discharge from regular army service, he went on training as part of the Hanoar Haoved movement and worked successfully for two years in southern Israel. After the training period he returned to the kibbutz and worked in the field and successfully filled various positions in the agriculture. In 1967 he was sent to the Netherlands by the Union of Habonim Movement and stayed there until 1969. In March 1970 he was called up for active reserve duty, but on 19 March 1970 he died and was put to rest in the cemetery in Matzuva.
