Baum, Rahamim (Roni)

Baum, Rahamim (Roni)

Son of Ayala and Moshe, was born on December 8, 1961 in Akko. Ronny was a child whose mother dreams of him: his hair is smooth, his eyes are blue and large and decorated with long lashes. When he grew up and became a boy, he radiated a kind of security and calm around him, which he liked about his friends. Everyone was Simcha to be with him. Ronny attended the son of Tzvi Elementary School in Acre and continued to study at the “International House” in Kiryat Haim. In this school he studied and acquired the profession of cooling technicians. Roni was a highly capable student and was very successful in his studies. Even as a young boy, Ronnie took care of his younger brothers and sisters and tried to help support the family. When he reached the army, he asked to postpone his enlistment so that he could finish his studies, and wanted to acquire a profession that would earn him a decent living after his discharge from the IDF. At the end of 1979, Roni joined the IDF and was stationed in the Armored Corps, and on the 8th of Av 5740 (12.8.1980) Roni fell in the line of duty and was put to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. He left behind his parents, brothers and sisters.
