Bashi, Ronnie


Son of Elias and Sarah. Was born on 19.11.1938 in Bombay, India, where he graduated from elementary school and high school. He was an active member of the Maccabi sports organization and served as the organization’s secretary. In addition, he was also a counselor in the Habonim movement. His hobbies were table tennis, cricket, swimming and stamp collecting. After graduating from high school, he studied at Sidenham College of Commerce and Economics and received a BA. In 1965 he immigrated to Israel. He was a quiet, modest fellow who was blessed with many friends all over the country. He was drafted into the IDF at the end of April 1971. In the first week of May 1971, he fell ill and a week later, on the 14th of Iyar 5731 (May 14, 1971), he died and was laid to rest in the Kiryat Shaul military cemetery.
