He joined the first volunteers of the Givati ​​Brigade in early December 1947, where he served in a group of saboteurs, and Moshe participated in the blowing up of rioters in Tel Arish, Beit Dagon, Sarafand al-Amar, And in dozens of Arab villages in the south, and later in combat operations in Jaffa, Ramle, Lod, Kfar Uriya, Nahal Sorek, Operation Nachshon, Kubaybeh, Yavneh, etc. In preparation for the resumption of fighting After the first truce, But the Egyptians broke the cease-fire and attacked and attacked it on the night of July 7-8, 1948, seized a number of outposts and disrupted this plan, and on the night following July 9 and 8, In the days that followed, the Egyptians carried out heavy and repeated attacks on the outpost and Givati ​​fighters, with stubborn defense, repulsed the attacks, and on Tuesday, 10 July 1948, , And was put to rest at the military cemetery in Beer Tuvia. His widow Shoshana joined the Israel Defense Forces after his death.
