Barzily (Eizenstadt), Akiva

Son of Rachel and Moshe, was born on the 11th of Adar 5614 (March 9, 1914) in the town of Nesviz, Minsk, White Russia. Akiva arrived in Eretz Israel in September 1929 and was accepted to the Mikveh Israel agricultural school. On the 8th of Adar Bet 5708 (March 19, 1948), while coming to the aid of a wounded friend, he fell. Akiva was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery at Kibbutz Beit Hashita.
