Barzani, Yechezkel-Shariahu


Son of Avraham and Lulu. He was born on November 15, 1932 in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq. He immigrated to Israel with his parents and was then a year old. He completed his studies at the elementary school in Beit-Yisrael in Jerusalem, and then prepared for the matriculation exams through the Institute for Education in writing. Before the War of Independence he was an active member of the Lechi, and in September 1948 he was drafted into the IDF. His hand was always extended to the friend and brother. His honesty and honesty earned him many friends and was also admired by his comrades and company commanders. He fell in the course of his duties on the seventh of Av 5786 (7.8.1956) and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
