Barzani, Mahfoud

Son of Azuz and Zachya. He was born on September 21, 1938, in Mosul, Iraq. He studied in an elementary school in his city and continued his studies after the family immigrated to Israel in 1950. Along with his studies, he remembered his duty to his large family and worked in carpentry to support her. In January 1956 he was drafted into the IDF, and about five months later, on the 17th of Tammuz 5716 (17.6.1956), he fell in the line of duty and was put to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya.
