Baruch, Nathan
Son of Yitzhak and Julie, may they rest in peace. He was born on 13.3.1941 in Tunis, Tunisia. His parents died abroad when he was 12. He immigrated to Israel in 1950. He studied at the Aliyat Hanoar elementary school in Jerusalem and later lived in the kibbutz, where he was a sports enthusiast. He was a long-distance runner, a trapper and even a certificate of excellence Nathan was drafted into the IDF in 1959 and served in the Supply Corps as a driver. Was a good soldier and devoted to his job. He worked for the Lapidot oil company in Sderot, where he met his girlfriend Janet, who eventually became his wife, and after working for the oil company for six years, decided to enlist in the regular army. He was a guide to instructors in the IDF with the rank of major sergeant and acquired the name of a responsible and dedicated commander, who took part in the Six-Day War and the Yom Kippur War and took part in crossing the Suez Canal together with his unit. Died of an illness, was brought to rest in the cemetery in Sderot and left behind a wife and four children, and in a letter of condolences to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: “Nathan was loved by all of us, commanders and colleagues. He was a good friend and a great professional. He loved his work and his profession and volunteered for every mission. “
