Baruch, Joseph
Son of Linda and Nissim. He was born on December 18, 1960 in Tel Aviv. He studied at Bialik Elementary School and was active in social life. After graduating from elementary school, he moved to the “Shevach” vocational school, where he studied frameworks and excelled in his studies. After two years of study he moved to the “Onim” school in Kfar Saba and underwent an eight-month pre-military course in maintenance mechanics. He completed his professional studies at the IAF Technical School in Haifa. In 1978 he enlisted in the IDF after serving for a short period of basic training at the Technical School, was stationed at the IAF base in the Negev and served as a man of equipment and maintenance in the squadron, and was able to overcome technical problems and improvise solutions. “He did not belong to a particular point of work, but worked all over the base. His hand was in everything. In 1981 he began to serve in the regular army, excelled in his position and rose to the rank of sergeant, and in that same year he met the soldier Yardena, married him and established a family in Be’er Sheva. A year later, his daughter was born on December 31, 1983, and suddenly died at his home after a short illness, at the age of 23. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Holon, leaving behind a wife, daughter, parents and brother
