Baruch, Avraham (Albert)
Avraham (Albert), son of Nina and Chaim Baruch, was born in the city of Larissa, Greece, where he lived a quiet life until the Nazi occupation. Avraham joined the partisans and participated in the underground war against the invading army for about two years. Avraham made aliyah to Israel with his wife and child in 1947. He lived in the Bat Yam neighborhood and was one of the defenders of the neighborhood. On 28 Shvat (8.2.1948) he fell while at his post at Bat Yam and was brought to rest in the Nahalat Yitzhak military cemetery, leaving behind a pregnant wife and a child. His second child was born after his death.
