Bari, Meir


Meir, son of Chana and Moshe, was born on March 14, 1948 in Sde Ilan (Hashomer Hashomer – Sejera). He attended the “Ohel Moshe” elementary school in Moshav Kfar Pines, He was a diligent, diligent, diligent, and diligent pupil, loved by his teachers and friends, and was a member of Bnei Akiva until his last days. And volunteered for the Nahal Brigade, after completing his basic training course for the machine gunners, was a soldier who was responsible and dedicated to his role and served as an example of his friends in his good temper and obedience. During the Yom Kippur War, Meir took part in the braking battles against the Egyptians on the Sinai front. In the battle that took place on October 15, 1973, in the northern sector near the “Budapest” outpost, Meir and the soldiers of his company stormed an Egyptian commando ambush, which threatened to occupy the northern stronghold. Meir was killed. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery on Mount Herzl. He left behind a wife, two sons and a daughter – Liora – born after his death, mother, sister and two brothers. After his fall, he was promoted to corporal.
