Bareket, Shlomo


Son of-Bilha and David, was born on May 10, 1935 in Jerusalem, where his family moved to the Alroy neighborhood near Tivon and Shlomo attended elementary school in Kiryat Amal. For three years he studied mechanical frameworks at the same time, and at the same time worked in this field. When he was a member of a large family whose economic situation was poor, he was forced to leave for work at the age of 14. Later in his life, he studied mechanical studies and completed his studies successfully. In August 1953, he enlisted in the IDF and served in the Nahal Brigade of Hanoar Haoved. Shlomo was appointed as a counselor in the Nahal Brigade and underwent a series of courses that trained him as a guide in the course for commanders and later as a instructor in a course for combat symbols. He served successfully in these positions and received the rank of Staff Sergeant After completing his regular service, he worked as a mechanical shutter at various factories in Haifa, and later became a mechanical engineer and began working as a heavy machinery operator in various parts of the country. In the framework of his reserve service for combat engineering, he was called up for reserve duty frequently, and during the Yom Kippur War and the Litani Operation, he was called to serve in the Peace for Galilee War, although he was already 48 and the father of a female soldier. On the 11th of Av 5743 (11.7.1983) on his return from his vacation to his base at Lake Karoun in Lebanon, And left-side cargo placed behind the stone terrace and activated by remote control. Shlomo was laid to rest in the military section of the Tzur Shalom cemetery. He left behind a wife, four daughters, a mother, four sisters and two brothers.
