Bardin, D.


During the First World War he was among the Jews expelled from the Land of Israel by the Turks. He arrived in Alexandria, Egypt, where he volunteered for the detachment battalion, which was initiated by Yosef Trumpeldor. He was sent with the battalion to Little Asia to the front of Gallipoli to participate in a campaign aimed at taking control of the Dardanelles. On the 9th of Tammuz (June 21, 1915), he fell and was buried in Egypt.
