Barda, Moshik (Moshe)

Moshik, a beautiful child with golden curls and bright blue eyes, grew up and was educated in Pardes Hannah for the parents of the colony. He turned out to be an intelligent, industrious, curious boy. Moshik began his studies at the Merhavim Elementary School and stood out as an outstanding student. He went on to the junior high school of the agricultural school in Pardes Hannah and completed his studies at the Comprehensive School of Science and the Arts in Hadera, specializing in electronics and computers. Moshik was interested in many fields and always wanted to know, to see and to understand. He has read many books from different content worlds: philosophy, science fiction and fantasy, thrillers and more. He had a musical ear and was connected in all his senses to music. During high school he played guitar and listened to music of various kinds – Israeli, 1960s and contemporary. Computers, too, attracted a great deal of interest. He would spend long hours in front of the screen: surf the Internet, discover new musical treasures, correspond with people, watch and learn the secrets of the computer. Moshik was very close to his family and used to help his parents with every task: carpentry, gardening, cooking, baking and kitchen help; He loved to dismantle, assemble, repair and create. He treated everyone with respect, gave warmth and love to his surroundings and was attentive to everyone – from small to great. His friends know that he was a true friend, a friend who gives his heart. In November 2001, Moshik joined the IDF with great pride and chose to serve in the Engineering Corps, and after completing combat training he left for a paramedics course and was placed in a military engineering school in southern Israel where he served as a combat paramedic. The commander of the School of Military Engineering testified: “Your commanders and friends have seen you as a professional and valuable friend and paramedic who does the utmost and beyond to carry out his duties. , And as such do not flinch and withdraw from difficulties in doing things for which you believe. Despite the relatively short period of time you have accumulated in service, you have been outstandingly outstanding, and you have been talking about taking you to an officer’s training course or being promoted to a battalion medic. Your quality as a person and as a soldier, your personality and your performance, have made you very much appreciated and one of the most prominent in Betar. ” On the 14th of Shvat, 5763 (January 14, 2003) Moshik fell during his service at the age of nineteen. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Pardes Hannah. Survived by parents and two sisters. A close friend wrote to his memory: “If Moshik had to write an eulogy, he would not write, because in any case what you feel Moshik hated to be like everyone else … Moshik had to go against the tide – he had an ideology, he would not ask questions, because he had all the answers, he would not ask him to be explained, because he understood everything ! ” Moshik’s family set up a website with pictures of his various lifetimes, things that were said to his memory, and the letters of commanders, friends and relatives.
