He was honest and conscientious, and he was also a man of truth, a handsome person who demanded and was well-behaved. He knew how to bring new friends closer to him, to bridge between one person and another, and to listen to others. Gabriel was drafted into the IDF at the end of January 1973. The tank was hit and Gabriel and his crew were killed, first considered missing, later declared as a space whose burial place is unknown, and six months later his body was found in the area of ​​the Second Egyptian Army and he was brought to rest Was buried in a cemetery in Kfar Menahem and left behind a father, mother, brother and sister, and was promoted to the rank of corporal. His father built in his son’s memory about fifteen copper menorahs; He also built a very large copper menorah as a commemorative gift to the House of the Soldier in Tel Aviv, to Gabriel’s twenty-third birthday, which did not reach this age; His kibbutz published two pamphlets and a booklet in his memory, including his memoirs, memoirs, poems and photographs; His father built a menorah in his kibbutz; In late May 1974, a handball tournament was held in memory of the three sons of Kfar Menahem who fell in the Yom Kippur War and Gabriel among them.
