Barak, Yehuda Yair


Son of Liba and Naftali Meir. He was born on October 19, 1975 in Petah Tikva. The oldest son of his parents and the eldest brother of his nine brothers and sisters. Yair began his studies at Yavneh Elementary School in Petach Tikvah, continued in the Midrasha junior high school in Kfar Sava and graduated from the Noam Academy in Pardes Hanna. After graduating from high school, Yair studied for two years at the Shavei Hevron Yeshiva in Hebron. Yair joined the founders of the hesder yeshiva in Ramat Gan and stayed there until his enlistment on Hanukkah 5755. In November 1994, Yair enlisted in the Israel Defense Forces in the Golani Brigade, where he joined the PFLP and completed basic training and advanced training in this framework, including a wireless-combat course at the 7 Training Base.
