Bar, Nir

Nir, son of Meira and Yitzhak Bar, was born in 1966 in Kibbutz Evron. In November 1984, he underwent basic training and asked to volunteer for the paratroopers. He was trained in a course for combat medics and a course for squad commanders. On 5 Sivan, June 12, 1986, Nir was killed while carrying out his duties during the tour of Lebanon. Nir was brought to the cemetery at Kibbutz Ma’agan Micha’el; he was twenty years old. Survived by his parents and three sisters.
