Ben Irit and Oded. He was born on June 19, 1978 in Kibbutz Ein Zivan, the eldest brother of Hadar and Aviv. At the age of one year, he moved with his parents to the youth village Meir Shfeya, where he spent time playing with Oded’s children. At the age of five, Sivan moved with his parents to Kibbutz Ma’agan Michael, in order to live with the extended Bar-Natan family. Sivan joined the children of Gan B, moved with the graduates to school and became one of the classy and lively dolphin classmates. In elementary school he was discovered as a curious, sociable and alert child, fighting for his place in the group. His sense of justice, his extraordinary conscience, his desire for perfection, and the desire to do his best, often led to violent confrontations with dolphins. Sivan was a very active child in sports. He was a swimmer who invested much of his energy and time in this sport and participated in swimming competitions until the age of 14. In addition, he was a basketball player and a football player in Hapoel Maagan Michael. He participated in basketball games with his team until he joined the army and was particularly prominent in his fighting ability on every ball. As a soccer player he continued to play on Saturdays when he came from the army, when his team needed local reinforcement. At the Hof Hacarmel High School in Ma’agan Michael, he invested heavily in his studies. Along with his favorite subjects, physics, integrated technology and computers, he was also interested in the humanities. The investment in studies stemmed from his great curiosity and his thirst for knowledge, as well as his plans to study computers at the Technion after his military service. In seventh grade, Sivan began working in fish farming, a branch he loved very much. He did not give up on a single day’s work, and even returned to work. When he arrived in the mornings, Sivan used to organize the group for daily work, and his ability to contact adults of all ages was a gift from God, yet he was never ashamed to demand from others and organize them for the task. He was the commander of a boat and taught groups of boys throughout the year, and during vacations he organized marine courses for young classes and helped maintain the navy, and the family dream was to sail together on a yacht in the Mediterranean after his military service. , Along with his studies, in the many fields he loved and to conduct extensive social activities And slowly, Sivan became an impresario of many things that dolphins were busy with, including the beach treatment, where they built tables and places for barbecues, power and water lines, and even built a barrack on the beach for the benefit of the bathers. “Hadar, who was five and a half years younger, had lively conversations, and in the spring, when he was 12.5, he began to deal with the warmth, devotion and love almost from the moment of his birth. In a back carrier, then he sews and feeds and plays with him. Over the years, a special bond developed between them, which continued even when Aviv grew up, when Sivan invited him to the social events of the Dolphin group and their parties. Sivan began his military service in November 1996 with Sayeret Matkal, and after nearly a year in the Sayeret Matkal he moved to the Golani reconnaissance unit, where he quickly integrated. The navigators discovered that Sivan was an excellent navigator – his sense of direction at night, the ability to organize his time and the demands he demanded from his friends, made him navigate the night to a real leader, who swept away Afterward, Sivan was chosen to leaveTzona, and after the doubts, he agreed to go to the officers’ course and return to the unit as a counterterrorism instructor. He completed the preparatory course for the officers’ course with high honors, after which he received a vacation and returned home. On Thursday Sivan went to spend time with his friends at the discotheque at Kibbutz Ramat David. On the way back the driver fell asleep and crashed into the vehicle that appeared in front of him. Sivan, who slept in the back, was severely injured in the head. He fought for his life every Friday, and on Saturday, September 19, 1998, after he was sentenced to brain death, members of Sivan, who was a member of Edi, were rescued to save five people awaiting organ donation . He was twenty years old when Sivan died. He was laid to rest at the cemetery in Ma’agan Michael. Survived by his parents, sister and brother. After his death, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant: From the words of the commander of his unit: “His noble character and personality preceded him and illuminated his special path. His large, bright eyes expressing curiosity and love did not stop running. Without any difficulty in absorbing and adapting to a new unit, Sivan quickly understood what was happening and began to lead in his special and positive way. Sivan was asked to leave for the officers’ course before completing his career in the Sayeret, which put him in a difficult dilemma about his military career and I was certain that he would be a promising officer in the commando unit. So, like all the other things, Sivan liked to help and volunteer, at the expense of his plan and his free time. Because of his comfortable personality, Sivan forged unique relationships with his commanders and friends, for whom he served as a model for a warrior who is ready for any mission. Sivan’s personality and ability, his wise gaze, his modesty, his smile and the expression of his face leave no choice but to love him … “Mark Meyers, a member of the kibbutz and Sivan’s teacher, wrote in his memory the song” The Golden Spark “: A picture in the head from first grade / small, skinny boy / large, soft, serious / six-year-olds who speaks in adulthood and intelligence / beyond his age / sensitive, intelligent, considerate, good friend / through the years still feel the spark of gold. And another picture ten years later / already a boy / eyes large, soft, serious / youth of sixteen / who speaks maturity and wisdom / beyond his age / sensitive, intelligent, considerate, good friend / as it was / with the spark of gold. And then a picture of a soldier / gives everything he can of himself / as he knows / the officer who wanted to be / is a natural continuation of the boy who / those eyes, the same intelligence / already man / d. “I want to thank you so much, I want to show you how much happiness you planted in so many people,” says Dafna. When you have commanded that in your life you are ready to give life to another person … Sivan, I hope that you are looking from above on all of us, the people in whose death you have commanded life, and feels some sense of satisfaction and pride. You are deeply rooted in all of us, we will remember you and will forever thank you. A number of commemorative works were erected in memory of Sivan: a memorial book that was issued by the family and the Boston Ship, which was named after him. Located in a hut built by Sivan with his classmates, a wandering trophy for the “Outstanding Optimistic Cruise” was given at the Hapoel championship in Sdot Yam, as well as a traveling trophy in a tournament held in memory.
