Bar-Moshe (Moise), Ben-Ami (Bumi)


Son of Osher and Dorina. He was born on March 30, 1949, in the town of Baku, Romania, where he studied in an elementary school in his hometown in 1965. He immigrated to Kibbutz Hulata in 1965, where he remained until 1967, when he moved to Pardes Hanna High School He was one of the outstanding students who completed his studies and completed his matriculation certificate, and in mid-August 1968 he was drafted into the IDF and assigned to the Signal Corps. After about a year he volunteered to serve in the paratroopers, but only served for ten months. On the 26th of Sivan 5706 (26.6.1970), he fell while carrying out his duties. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in Pardes Hannah. The company commander wrote in a letter of condolence to the family that when son of-Ami came to the Paratroopers he was “full of energy, spirit of life and aspiring to achievements on every subject he dealt with. He helped every member of the unit, “he said. The commander noted in his letter that he and the soldiers of the unit mourn his death, and concluded, “Bumi went, but his image will accompany the unit forever.”
