He studied at the “Hahayal” elementary school and the “Ort – Yad Synglovsky” high school in Tel Aviv, specializing in electronics. In the third school year, he contracted jaundice and was absent from school for many days; As a result, he might have lost a school year. Haim did not accept this, studied external studies and took the external matriculation exams. Chaim was energetic and active. He was a member of the Scout movement and eventually became a counselor. During his spare time he liked to listen to music, worked in photography and even developed and printed his photographs. Haim was drafted into the IDF at the end of May 1962 and volunteered for the Armored Corps, where he completed a course in the “Amax” tank course, a course for commanders of the Sherman tanks, a course for officers of the Armored Corps and a course for tour officers. In the opinion of his commanders it was said that he was an excellent officer, with a strong will to advance and learn, capable, fulfilling his task to the satisfaction of his commanders; Hardworking, serious, quiet, withdrawn and loved by all his friends. After being released from regular service, he joined the Merchant Navy and studied at the Naval Naval School. After meeting the harsh conditions of apprenticeship, he was ordained a third deck officer and served in the Merchant Navy for three and a half years. He continued his studies at the School of Practical Engineering at Tel Aviv University. The thesis he wrote for the title “Practical Electronics” was on the subject of “simulating multipurpose signals” and received many accolades. He was a good and loyal son to his parents, a devoted husband to his wife Sarai and a loving father to his daughter Yael. When the Six-Day War broke out, Haim lived in the Lev of the Pacific Ocean on his way to Hong Kong. With great effort, he succeeded in persuading the Israeli consul of honor in the Chinese city to help him travel to Israel. But he arrived after the end of the war and his disappointment was great. During the Yom Kippur War, Haim took part in the braking battles against the Egyptians on the Sinai front. On the 10th of Tishrei 5734 (10.10.1973), in the northern sector of the Suez Canal, his armored personnel carrier mounted an ambush on the Egyptians, was hit by a direct hit and Haim was killed on the spot.
