Bar-David, Aharon
Aharon, son of Donna and Chaim Bar-David, was born in 1930 in Istanbul, Turkey. Although he studied in French and Turkish educational institutions, his Jewish consciousness did not allow him to integrate into his foreign homeland. In 1947, Aharon joined a secret Zionist organization and with a group of friends immigrated to Israel and immediately joined the Haganah. He fought in the Alexandroni Brigade and fought well, but was killed in a traffic accident in Petach Tikvah on the 20th of Shevat, February 19, 1949. Aharon was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya.
