Bar, Aharon (“Aharaleh”)


Son of Baruch and Esther. He was born on February 14, 1935 in Tel Aviv. He was a lively, cheerful, sociable child. He completed his studies at the Degania Aleph elementary school and continued to study at the Beit Yerah high school in the Kinneret. He also studied for a while at the vocational school near the Technion in Haifa. He excelled in his studies and especially in mathematics. Aharon participated in the activities of the Gadna and in the framework of the “Israel Navy”, and was active in marine activities, and joined the IDF in mid-July 1953, after successfully completing a course for infantry officers. After his discharge from the regular service he returned to the Kinneret group. He worked diligently in the field of fission and was driving a semitrailer. Aaron was connected to the members of the group, who liked him very much. After his marriage he left the group and volunteered to serve in the regular army, and this time joined the Armored Corps. At first, he underwent a course for heavy mortars, then a course for armored officers, a course for company commanders, and even a parachuting course, after which he underwent advanced officers’ training courses and was attached to the supply center. On 26.6.1973, Major Aharon died during his service and was brought to eternal rest in the Kinneret Kinneret cemetery. He left a wife and two children. In his letter of condolence to the family, his commander wrote: “In our joint work, I found Bahron a loyal and devoted friend to the work, and in Aaron he embodied the supreme qualities of an ideal commander and friend and evil who did his work quietly and safely. On him and performed his work in the best possible way. ” In “Thirty” for his death, an article was published in his memory in the Kinneret group newsletter.
