Bankhalter, Nathan


Son of Leah and Mordecai-Yosef. Born in 1914 in Slabice, Poland. In 1934 he immigrated to Eretz Israel and was drafted into the British army in 1936. Upon the outbreak of the Second World War and under the order of the Yishuv, he enlisted in the British army and was assigned to serve in the Western Desert. A shell exploded and he died on 26.6.1944. He was laid to rest in the British military cemetery.
