Balter, Arik (Ariel)

Arik, son of Sarah and Yosef Balter, was born in Hadera in 1980. He joined the IDF on December 22, 1998, and Arik was assigned to the maintenance corps. After basic training, he was sent to a driving course. Sergeant Arik Balter fell in the line of duty on January 17, 2001 and is twenty years old. Arik was laid to rest in the Hadera military cemetery. Hundreds of his acquaintances escorted him on his last journey. He was survived by parents and a brother.
