At the beginning of August 1994, Amir joined the IDF and served in the “Dragon” in the artillery. Later, he completed a commanders’ course and joined the battalion as a team commander. In this capacity, he took great care of his soldiers and tried to help them with their problems. Amir was proud and pleased with his job, and was scheduled to leave for an officer’s course. He was described by his commanders as an ambitious and dedicated commander who worked tirelessly for the benefit of his soldiers and took care of all their needs. He volunteered first for every mission and performed it in the best possible way. Be friendly and sympathetic to his friends and acquaintances. Amir loved military life. He was buried at the military cemetery in Arad, leaving behind his parents and two sisters, and his family published a book of remembrance, combining poems and letters written by the family and his friends Amir’s parents wrote: “Our Amir, you are no longer ours, the angels you took.
