Son of Sophia and Zohar, brother of David. He was born on the 18th of Nissan 5737 (6.4.1977) in Be’er Sheva, where he grew up and was educated. A playful, active child who charmed his surroundings with his captivating smile. Time ran to Ronnie and it developed rapidly. Earlier than usual, he began climbing, running, and riding a bicycle. For the first two years, Ronny studied at the Alon elementary school, where he continued to the Gevim Elementary School and stood out as an outstanding student and loved everything. He liked to read and paint. His artistic talent led him to participate in a national painting competition entitled ‘A Tree under a Tree’. His work was chosen from hundreds of paintings and compositions. He received a certificate of appreciation and his painting was hung in the Youth Wing of the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. Ronny was a natural athlete and in every industry that tried his strength – he succeeded. At the age of eleven he was already skiing in the Alps, winning first place in a children’s ski competition and jumping three levels to the senior group. He was an ice-skater and managed to slide off without any help from the first steps. Roni belonged to the tennis club in Be’er Sheva and practiced swimming in the local Hapoel team. In addition, he played basketball, excelled in light athletics, practiced water skiing, cycled, and received certificates and excellencies in the school and the departments he participated in. Roni did high school in “Makif” high school. Due to his natural inclination to play, he chose to study in the theater track of the school and played many plays. During this period, he spent less on his studies and more on recreation with friends. He made many trips in the framework of the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI) and toured the country in length and breadth. Ronny loved the country, the sea and the forests. He was moved by the Negev, the Judean Desert, the Galilee and the Golan Heights. One of his most famous trips was a journey from the Haifa coast to Tel Aviv, a journey he made with his girlfriend Gal and a couple of friends. Ronny developed other hobbies: dancing, watching movies and listening to music, especially contemporary. His musical talent was easily diagnosed, but due to his impatience to practice, he interrupted his guitar lessons and did not continue to play another instrument. Ronny had a sensitive soul and developed sense of justice. When he encounters injustice, he fights with all his might, even at the cost of personal damage. He despised hypocrisy and dishonesty and was an example of his noble behavior. He loved people and they loved him. His broad heart knew how to give boundless love to his family and many friends. Before joining the army, Ronen traveled with his family to Canada, where his brother lived, where he accumulated many experiences. At the end of November 1995, Roni joined the IDF and was bitterly disappointed when doctors discovered that he was suffering from medical problems and was not fit to serve. As a combat soldier. He expressed his feelings in a letter he wrote about the day of enlistment: “I was happy, I’m finally enlisting … I felt like I was going to do something, contribute and give From myself to the state, as he did, I also felt a certain purpose in life. ” Roni was assigned to the Military Police, but acted with his characteristic determination to raise his medical profile.
