Badihi, Yehuda


Son of Sara and Yehiel, was born in 1927 in Sanaa, in Yemen, and grew up in the traditional atmosphere of the community. During World War II, he immigrated to Israel. He graduated from elementary school and went to work. Yehuda was a laborer in the Lodzia factory and lived in Holon. He was a member of the Haganah and served as a patrolman in the neighborhood. For a while he was also in the group of guards around Zichron Yaakov. Ever since he became a man, he has contributed his part to protecting the country. During the War of Independence he served in the Givati ​​Brigade and participated in the attack on Tel Arish. On May 3, 1948, during the “Maccabi” operation to break through to Jerusalem, a number of armored vehicles left for the road to Sha’ar Hagai, near the village of Deir Ayyub. The force encountered British armored vehicles, On the 11th of Adar 5702 (28.2.1950) he was transferred to the eternal military cemetery at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
