Badanni, Emanuel


Son of Esther and Yitzhak, was born on October 30, 1929 in Tel Aviv. In 1944, Emanuel completed his studies in Talmud Torah for Yemenites, studied for a year at the “Shevach” vocational school and completed his studies in the field of practical work. Emanuel, joined the ranks of Hanoar Haoved, was an excellent instructor. In 1947 Emanuel left for training in Yagur. He served in the Yiftach Brigade and was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel. Emanuel was serious in his duty, resolute and alert in the battle. On the 12th of Nissan, April 21, 1948, in his last battle in the village of Zar’in, he showed exemplary spirit and command-ability. When Emanuel was on the roof of the village school he was hit by a bullet and killed, Hewas laid to rest at the cemetery in Kfar Yehezkel.
