Badani, Ratzon


Son of Malka and David, was born in 1931 in Yemen. As a child he was orphaned from his father, and when he was 12 he was brought to Israel. From the beginning of the War of Independence, he participated in most of the battles to defend and expand the borders of Tel Aviv. During the first truce Ratzon was sent to Jerusalem. He was among the conquerors of Malha and in this battle he fell on the 8th of Tammuz 5708 (July 14, 1948.)Ratzon was 17 years old and was buried in Sheikh Bader Aleph. On the 28th of Elul 5710 (10.9.1950) he was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
