Bachar, Yom-Tov
Yom-Tov, son of Yaakov and Leah Bachar, was born in 1933 in Istanbul, Turkey. He immigrated to Israel with his parents in 1949. He was a member of the “Youth Aliya” in son of-Shemen and was sent to Jerusalem for a short period of time, where he stayed for a year and then returned to his family to help them earn a living. At the time of his enlistment, he was drafted into the IDF (August 1951). He fell in battle on the 30th of Sivan (23.6.1952) and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa.
