Babi, Yakir

Yakir, son of Simcha and Natan Babi, was born in Or Yehuda in 1987. Yakir was drafted into the IDF on March 21, 2006. He was assigned to the Ordnance Corps and served as a mechanic of the B vehicle in the Gadab battalion. Yakir fell during his service on December 30, 2007, after struggling with a sudden and difficult illness. He was twenty years old when he fell. He was laid to rest in the military section of the Yehud cemetery. Survived by parents, three brothers and three sisters.
