Azuz, Joseph
Son of Miriam and Isaac. Born in 1899 in the Old City of Jerusalem, he volunteered for the British Army and was assigned to the Jewish Regiment – the 39th Battalion of the King’s Rifles. Shortly after his enlistment on the 24th of Tammuz, 4.7.1918, on his way to Egypt and was brought to eternal rest in the British military cemetery in Ramla, and his name was immortalized in the Yizkor book on behalf of the Jabotinsky Institute and in “Beit Hagidud” in Avihail.
