Azulay, Avraham (Bermo)
Son of Esther and Yehuda, was born on the 8th of Cheshvan 5767 (8.11.1955) in Haifa. Avi studied at the “Sinai” elementary school in Kiryat Yam and continued his studies at a vocational school in the mechanical frameworks program. Abraham was the fifth child of a family of ten. The parents, who worked hard, supported the family and gave their children a strong sense of belonging and warmth. For a while he found it hard to keep up the work, but when he saw that idleness was not working for him, he returned to work and made friendly contact with his employers. Avraham served as a reservist in the Israel Air Force, a clerk and a cook, and he performed his duties to the satisfaction of his commanders, who fell during his service on the 12th of Kislev 5741 (12.11.1980) and was brought to rest in the Tzur Shalom cemetery. He was 25 when he died. His memory was commemorated in the Tiferet Israel synagogue in Kiryat Yam. He left behind his parents and nine brothers and sisters.
