Azoulay, Eran


Ben Alice and Maxim. Born in Netanya on April 14, 1976, the eldest son of a family of four. Eran attended the “Mesilot” elementary school in Netanya and was a member of the “Dora Taf” movement in his youth. He completed his high school studies at the “Shapira” high school for science and technology in the electronics and electronics field. Eran was a serious and persistent student, who met the high standards set by his studies and was considered a brilliant student. He volunteered and helped others, and especially devoted his time to children who needed help. During his youth, he was a member of the “Tn Yad” movement – a youth movement that operated in the Dora neighborhood, where he lived. He loved drawing, and especially cartoonist, sportsman, and a lot of running and playing football. There was a game in the neighborhood and in the school, and even here his excellent ability and excellent performance were revealed in the opening of the gates. Who was the rabbi of the high school and educated for four consecutive years, wrote: “… I have always been privileged to see him ascend and ascend, and all his prodigy was nothing but his own – he worked and worked on his development and personal transcendence constantly. … raise up in his court – take care of everyone in the neighborhood, and locked up in his city, which was bound to all his friends a bond of love and brotherhood and always with the sweet smile he raised on his lips … “. Motivated by his motivation, Eran joined the IDF in August 1994 and volunteered to serve in the Golani Brigade, where he demonstrated at home and among the members the pride of a unit, after completing basic training and advanced training. On October 13, 1995, Eran was killed in a battle in Lebanon, when a bomb exploded, and he was laid to rest at the Netanya military cemetery. He was followed by his parents, two brothers – Chen and Adam and a sister – Fanny, who was promoted to the rank of sergeant Knew that his mother did not know how to calm down when he served in Lebanon, so he used to call home at every opportunity, and just hours before the explosive charge exploded, Eran spoke with his mother and asked her to calm her down: “Do not worry, At the Yismach Israel Synagogue, where he used to pray, he sought to serve as a cantor and blew the shofar, “His request was unusual. “Eran prayed with great devotion, and blew the shofar so loud … He blew the shofar so beautifully, but God, he said, To which the prayers are directed, took him. He loved his job and invested all his energy in it. His quiet but dominant character in the department was a symbol and an example to all the soldiers of the platoon and the company. “His motivation as a human being was very prominent, attesting to the moral education he received at home and brought to the army. “You were a soldier for example, even when you were hard, you did not say a word.” And now, what we have left of you is only a tear – a tear on a Golani soldier / tear on a friend / tear on a man who only wanted to help. / … “Shapira High School of Science and Technology, where Eran studied, published a booklet in his memory.
