Azizi, Peretz (Farbuz)

Son of Hodadad and Malka. He was born in 1949 in the city of Kermanshah in Iran, and in 1951 immigrated to Israel with his family, who settled in Nahariya. He attended the Trumpeldor Elementary School of the “Amal” network in Nahariya, and joined the IDF in November 1966 and was assigned to the Armored Corps. He soon became prominent among his fellow soldiers in his dedication and efficiency in carrying out every mission. He was loved by his friends and commanders alike. Prior to his discharge from the regular service, he completed an exceptional course for high school education, which took place at the “Marcus Camp” military school in Haifa. On February 26, 1969, Terach Peretz fell while serving in the Nahariya military cemetery, and in a letter of condolences to the family, his commander wrote: “Peretz was quiet, safe and ready for any mission, and these qualities Knew how to move beautifully to his comrades in arms. It is not surprising, then, that Azizi served as a model for a soldier in the entire unit. “
