Son of Nafja and Ibrahim. Sayah was born in 1923 in Druze Jebel in Syria. Grew up in Syria, immigrated to Israel in 1948 and lived in Shfaram. In 1956, Sayah joined the Border Police and joined the company stationed in the north. Sayah was the first Druze to receive a certificate of appreciation from the prime minister. On May 30, 1961, when Sayah was at the Mishmar Hayarden base on the Syrian border, shots were fired at the observation post of the outpost. At the sound of the shots, he went down to the observation post along with another policeman to check what had happened. On the way back a second barrage was fired by a Syrian sniper who hit the head of Sayah and killed him at the site.
