Avuzaglo, Elad


Son of Rachel and Michael. Elad was born at the Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon on Shabbat, August 4, 1984. In the early years of his education, Elad was educated in the Chabad kindergartens in Ashkelon and attended the Uziel State Religious School until the third grade, Elad was a student of the Computer Science Department and graduated high school with a full matriculation certificate, and Elad was loved by his friends, teachers and acquaintances, Always with a smile on his face and a lot of joy in his life, his distinguishing features were the freckles spread over his face, the permanent smile, the chin dimple, and the laughter that sounded from far away. Elad’s dream was to serve in the Border Police, and this dream came true on November 25. 2002, when he was drafted into the Civil Service in the Southern Border Police, Elad was proud to serve the State and was even more proud to serve in the Border Patrol Unit. Elad was mortally wounded on 30.7.2003, during an operational activity in Be’er Sheva. He fought for his life for two days at Soroka Medical Center, but on 3 Av, 1.8.2003, he died of his wounds. Elad was nineteen years old when he died, one day before his birthday and he was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Ashkelon. He left his parents and two brothers.
