Avramov, Raphael


Ben Nekdam (Nina) and Yassin. He was born on May 17, 1966 in the Soviet Union and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1974. During his ninth year he studied at the Netivot Hayim boarding school in Kiryat Malachi, who had worked in the “Motanei Beit Shemesh” factory for two years, was responsible for the work at home, helped with household chores, and took care of his younger brother. In mid-February 1985 and was stationed in the General Staff. After basic training he was sent to a unit in the armored corps as a driver. His commanders noted his comfortable temperament and devoted work in the unit. When he completed his regular service, he wrote in his release card: “An outstanding soldier, fulfilling his duties to the satisfaction of his commanders, diligent, dedicated, efficient.” Rafael married Sarit and worked as a taxi driver in Jerusalem. He was called for reserve duty and his reservists described him as a nice guy who did his job well. At all times he gave a hand to his comrades in the unit to complete the tasks in the car department. On the 8 th of Tishrei 5710 (October 8, 1990), during his active duty in reserve service, Raphael fell on his duty as a result of hostile terrorist activity and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. His mother and wife memorialized him in the synagogue.
