Son of Rivka and David. Rahamim was born on August 27, 1959 in Moshav Nevatim. He began his studies at the elementary school in Moshav Nevatim and continued (grades 7-8) at the Omerim School in Omer, where he studied in “Makif D” in Be’er Sheva and graduated with a certificate of excellence. Rahamim enlisted in the Ordnance Corps and served at the base of the field of Yemen, where he completed compulsory military service and continued for a permanent year, after which Rahamim studied television technology and at the same time began working at the Bata plant in Be’er Sheva. On August 6, 1984, Rahamim enlisted in the police, the Criminal Investigations Service. He specialized in identifying vehicles. Rahamim served faithfully and received certificates of recognition for his success, which was a success on a national scale. In 1987 Rahamim married Lillian and they had three sons: Aviel, Menashe and Gal. Rahamim’s hobbies were workshops – he built models of airplanes, and photography. He loved photography very much and even thought, the day after he retired from the police, to open a photography studio for fun. On 28 Iyar, 19.5.2004, Jerusalem Day, a senior sergeant signaled Rahamim to identify a stolen vehicle on the Lehavim road. A truck with a tow truck on the side of the road hit the police vehicle that protected it. The car was hit by a huge blow and flew into the wadi. When the truck driver tried to return to the lane he hit Rahamim and dragged him to the other side of the road. Rahamim was killed on the spot. Rahamim was forty-five when he fell. He was laid to rest in the Moshav Nevatim cemetery. He left a wife and three children, parents, two sisters and two brothers.
