Avraham, Eliyahu


Son of Miriam and Joseph-Chai, was born on February 18, 1963 in Moshav Mahsiya, where he studied at the Even HaEzer elementary school in Moshav Naham and continued his Torah studies at the Ohel Mo’ed yeshiva high schools in Jerusalem, “Ateret Tzvi” in Ashdod and at Beit Shemesh Yeshiva Eliyahu was drafted into the IDF at the end of August 1982. On June 30, 1983, Eliyahu fell during his service and was put to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. After his fall, he was promoted to First Privy. He was survived by a mother, five sisters and two brothers. In a letter of condolence to the family, his commander said that “Elijah was a devoted soldier, loved by his comrades and contributed to the unit all his energy and ability.” His mother commemorated his memory at the Or Chaim Yeshiva in Jerusalem
