Avnaim, Yosef (Yossi)
Yosef, son of Geis and Aziza Avnaim, was born in 1926 in Casablanca, Morocco and immigrated to Israel in 1950 when he was 24 years old. In November 1950, he was drafted into the IDF and after completing compulsory service he continued to serve for another six months, participating in the Sinai Campaign, and during the pre-Six Day War, he was called to reserve duty. On May 29, 1967 he died and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya. He left a wife and three children.
