Avnaim, Chaim

He was born in 1953 in Morocco and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1962. In Morocco, he studied in the Heder and continued to study at the Netiv-Yitzhak elementary school in Netivot, “And in the vocational vocational school in Kfar Chabad, in the framework of mechanical frameworks. After completing his studies at the Kfar Chabad school, Haim spent a year in a pre-military radio course held at the “Onim” school in Kfar Saba, as part of a boarding school, and was a member of the Bnei Akiva youth movement. Haim was drafted into the IDF in late October 1971 and assigned to the Intelligence Corps. After completing basic training, the course was conducted by intelligence equipment operators and completed with a good grade. He was later assigned as a equipment operator in an intelligence unit in Sinai. Haim was an excellent soldier. He soon became involved in the job and was very successful in his job, aware of the security importance of the tasks assigned to him. When the Yom Kippur War broke out, Haim was in his unit. On October 6, 1973, during an aerial bombardment, Haim was hit by a shrapnel and killed, and was brought to rest in the cemetery in Netivot, leaving behind his parents, two sisters and three brothers.
