Avivi, Emanuel

Son of Tzippora and Manoch was born on the 15th of Shevat in the village of Be’er Ya’akov to a large family who immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1909. In 1942, his younger brother was murdered by Arabs. When he left with his platoon for an ambush near Beit Daras, on the morning of September 8, 1948, one hour after midnight, an enemy bullet hit his temple and killed him, and Emanuel was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Beer Yaakov.
