Avitan, Eran

Ben Hadassah and Eliyahu. He was born on December 20, 1984 in Hadera. A younger brother to Shiran and a graduate of Danish. Eran was a smiling child, always willing to help and surrounded by friends. Eran grew up in Hadera, studied at the “Peer-Am” elementary school in the “Hadera High School” in Beit Eliezer, and graduated from the Hadera High School in the Oral History and Geography program. In his high school years, the academic aspect interested him less than the social aspect. Eran made sure that in each class there would be a seal of laughter, pleasure and sweet mischief. At the same time, Eran completed his studies with a full matriculation certificate. His great love for football began at an early age when he went with his father to the matches of the local football team. When he grew up, he played for Hapoel Beit Eliezer. During school vacations Eran taught youth at summer camps and enjoyed working with children. There he met Shirley, love flashed in his heart and their love flourished. Eran used to send her notes of love and knew how to love, please and pamper. During vacations Eran and Shirley spent most of their time together and went out to vacationers, enjoying themselves, relaxing and moving on. Eran used to write in his diary, and wrote to Shirley: “Like a sun that shines / Like a spring that comes / Like the flowering blossoms that bloom / So my heart blooms – opens to the sight of your face.” Eran also wrote in his diary: “Love is a sense of paradise, a feeling so beautiful and so pleasant when it really is love then you feel that amazing feeling.” From his childhood, Eran was raised to the values of giving, to respect the person wherever he is, and always to see the full glass half. Around Eran there were always friends who liked to come to his home to study for tests or just for fun, to smoke a hookah. One of Eran’s great loves was dancing, whenever possible and in every situation. His friends say that at parties he would not sit for a moment, get up to dance with friends, disappear for a moment, and suddenly he would see on the stage dancing and having fun. Eran, who heard from his father many stories about Nir Zehavi, a fallen neighborhood fighter, wanted to be a source of pride for his father and serve as a fighter in the paratroopers. In January 2003, Eran was drafted into the IDF and served as a combatant in the Paratroopers Brigade in the auxiliary company of the 202th Battalion. Eran managed to serve for a year and three months and was intended to serve as a paratrooper unit. Was sent to a training course where he was among those who worked tirelessly in operational activity, while Eran was stationed with his unit at the Huwwara checkpoint, where a child with an explosive device was caught, He always wanted to be the first to go out, and they talked about the little luxuries, the meals when they got off guard duty, and when they missed the house “I am proud that I was the commander of Eran, who was a commander and friend of mine, but above all a special person who everyone who was with him saw and understood that their hair was made of clay,” he says. “Eran combined the strength, the knowledge and the desire to learn with seriousness and motivation, along with a special smile, a charming smile and great love for all those around him, a great desire to help everyone, to encourage, to run forward, to strive for success and be a source of pride. To his family. The commander of the unit, Lt. Col. Guy, says: “Eran was a fighter in the auxiliary company, and everyone he knew could not help but love him. He volunteers for every mission, helps his friends in the difficult moments, in the field exercises and on the journeys, and for a moment he does not break. Eran’s smile became a symbol in the platoon and company – when everyone was ‘despised’ his smile would make everyone laugh. Later, Eran’s dream came trueHard and arduous work He was appointed squad commander and accepted the profession he wanted – a 203-M anti-tank missile. Eran’s company continued to the next stages that became more difficult – advanced training, parachuting and a beret. All the challenges that stood in his way passed Eran carrying his friends after him in the most difficult moments. At the end of the beret, he received his commander’s personal red beret as a sign of distinction and appreciation. When Eran’s company moved to operational activity in Nablus, Eran set out for a course for mortar operators. At the end of the course, Eran returned to the company and to the platoon. Day and night, for many hours in a row, in every weather, Eran worked for the security of the country together with his comrades-in-arms, and the danger was great. At the end of the route, Eran was assigned to a company that helps as a mortar operator. In his new company he always volunteered to all. “Itamar, his commander in charge, adds:” A smile, love, unlimited giving and a happy radiant face became the hallmark of a company that was unique only to Eran. We learned from him that love and giving are what we have learned. There is no limit to friendship, we have learned that we should always be happy, we have learned that there is always good to see, we have learned that ambition has no limit. His life was full of giving to others. “Eran was connected to the house and to the family, always helped with the household chores, was able to be attentive and supportive when needed, and shared with his friends his love for the family and his appreciation for his parents and was proud of his mother. (24.10.2004) Eran was killed in a road accident that took place on the Hadera-Zichron road (in memory of his wife) Yaakov, during a vacation. He was nineteen and ten months old when he fell. After his death, Eran was promoted to sergeant. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Hadera. Survived by his parents and two sisters. His older sister, Shiran, writes: “The 20th day of the month, your twentieth birthday, our first birthday without you, my brother, it’s true that you pick a flower while you’re alive, put it in the water and it smells nice, and believe you’ve grabbed my brother while you’re still alive. They say that with time the pain is diminishing, but no, the pain is growing, and with it the longing, the longing for your embrace, the embrace that has taken me apart, the hug from the heart, the embrace of my loving brother whom I will no longer accept. Give the sky to embrace you, miss and love forever. ” His younger sister, Danit, writes: “You fill me with your warm kisses and your smiles make me so happy, you are the one who gives life to this house, without you we are nothing. I will always miss you and love you all my life … Eran, the day you left this is the day when the sun did not shine, it was the day that all the rays of sun went down in my heart, and I ask how can I not see you again? I wanted to tell you that I love you, the last dance I dance, I danced to you on my last birthday with you, this dance is dedicated to you with love. ” His uncle, Haim Avitan, writes: “You would love every person and every person you loved, you who reached out and helped at all times to all of you, full of joy and faith and of value, in every position and age you found the way to succeed and not be a burden. How can we no longer hear the laughter we would have seen from afar, the glittering eyes and the smile that would always be on your face, and your everlasting laughter will never forget? , You were the pride of the family and wereWhen you are not with us, we will continue to be proud of what you were. His friend, Shirley, writes: “My angel is high among clouds / I am sailing toward you to the heavens / Take me between your wings to the heavens. // My angel wants to see you, touch your face, touch the editor / seek the smell, touch, kiss / take one last touch. // My angel Take me high / Show me the way to your world / Rest between your wings and the length. “His cousin, Tehila, writes:” Eran is the best friend I could ever ask for. With you, the talks would spill in all directions. “I saw a warrior with a spark and a constant smile that did not come down from your face and I soon realized that behind this charming smile was a man who always helps his friends and also, “Eran, I remember how you always wanted to learn more and more, ask and get interested in every subject and subject, Eran, every additional word can not explain who you were … A month and a half before their hair was killed I said to my sergeant: love him.’ Eran, ‘Do not be afraid, you are not alone. If the fear moment comes back, I will come to lend you a hand.’ ” Eran’s friend, Avi, writes: “We were together in the department, basic training, advanced training and a line in Nablus, and I always liked to sit with Eran and talk to him about my friends and his problems. The last time I saw Eran was when I came to replace him at the checkpoint and we talked there for fifteen minutes, And we embraced a last hug. ” His friend Shai writes: “My friendship with Eran began from the early years of my life, and in our daycare center, we joined our elementary school together, and the friendship has just begun.” Together we went to the Peer-Am elementary school, and I remember you as a naughty boy who loved We always have the same joy of life, the eternal smile that always shines on your face, which helped you avoid problems. With the teachers, a child of a mother who always brings back after suspension or brazenness, such was Eran even when we arrived at high school, always together, I will never forget the parties we never stopped coming to, your special dancing style, wild and unrestrained, and everyone looks at you, glances and smiles all over the place and I look at you and am so happy that I won In a special friend like you, an eternal child with a golden heart who is always ready to help, you did not really like your studies, but nevertheless you invested and three years you have successfully completed … From youth you became a man and the next stage was the army where he served as a poisoned paratrooper. I’m going out on a mission, so if anything happens I’ll love you and give my love to everyone. ” Respect for them all, happy, and everywhere was his presence could not be missed. Even as soldiers we went out together, clothes and shoes were always ours, and Eran always puts his friends’ will on his face and is ready to give anything to please those around him. Itai always consulted on every issue in the world, the military track, homesickness, girls, plans for the rest of life.
