Aviezer, Yosef
Son of Avraham and Malka. He was born on February 10, 1933 in Rehovot. After completing his studies at the Geula Elementary School in Tel Aviv, he attended the ORT high school in Haifa and completed his studies as a mechanic. At a young age, he joined Hashomer Hatzair as a member of the Lehavot Battalion in the North Tel Aviv campus. He had to continue his studies abroad with the support of ORT but gave up in order to return to his battalion and to the life of the movement. He tended to public educational work. He was one of the first members of the battalion to carry the burden of training. He had made great efforts as a guide to the nest. He was drafted into the IDF in September 1951. On the eve of his release, on the 25th of January 1954, as he prepared to return to his home in Sasa (he was a member of the kibbutz), he fell in the line of duty and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. In 1944, Kibbutz Sasa published a booklet in his memory.
