Ben Esther and Menachem. Born on October 26, 1974 in Petach Tikvah, Shimon was the youngest son of his parents, who was observant of tradition and mitzvot, and a younger brother of five brothers and sisters, attended the religious elementary school Netzach Yisrael and the high school He was an excellent soccer player and, according to his friends, “Ohad Sharuf” of Maccabi Petah Tikva, a handsome boy surrounded by friends and friends, loved to dance and be happy, always with a smile on his face. The mother of the family, Esther, and their home underwent a difficult and sad period. After completing his studies and before being drafted into the IDF, Shimon was able to travel a little abroad. At the beginning of August 1993, Shimon was drafted into the IDF’s Border Police combat brigade, and successfully completed the combat route of Border Guard soldiers and was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel. In mid-October 1995, Shimon was injured in a car accident and was hospitalized at Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva. For two weeks he fought for his life, but on Monday, 26 October 1995, Shimon was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Segula, Petah Tikva, where Shimon was twenty-one years old when he died. He left behind a father, two brothers – Shmuel and Yaakov, and three sisters – Ronit, Orna and Ilanit.
