Aver, Adolf
Son of Malka and Mordechai. He was born in 1912 in Lvov, Poland, and moved to Germany where he settled in Tel Aviv in 1934. He studied in a commercial school and after his studies, The second world joined the British army and was assigned to the 462 Company of the Transport Corps, serving in Egypt and Beirut, and in late April 1943 he left with his company on the deck of the ship “Aryanpura” from Egypt to Malta to participate in the invasion of Europe. A German reconnaissance plane boarded the ships, and the aircraft called the bomb planes that arrived in the evening and bombed the convoy of ships that the “Aryanpora” headed. She suffered a direct hit and drowned, and with her she fell into the water and killed 140 members of Company 462. Adolph was among them, a wife, three brothers and two sisters, and a memorial in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem Ania and next to it is a water pool with the names of the fallen engraved on the bottom, and the space is a machete – a space whose burial place is unknown.
