Avdishav, Avdai

Avdai, son of Tatiana and Fira Avdishav, was born in Georgia on February 10, 1993. In 1995, the family immigrated to Israel. They were able to move to Germany, the parents said, but they chose Israel. “My son should grow up in his own country, the Jewish state.” The family settled in Eilat. From the beginning of his studies he stood out as a successful child and as an outstanding student, quiet and polite. Later, at the Technion, he was exempted from the English language he had mastered, so he learned Spanish and Arabic. On 7.11.2011 Avdai enlisted in the IDF and began his career in the army. Avdai was a serious soldier, devoted and an example to his friends. He fell in the line of duty on 2 May 2016, two days before the graduation ceremony of the officers’ course. His graduation ceremony was postponed a day so that his classmates could attend his funeral.
