Avdar, Aryeh (“Arik”)

Son of Yefet and Yona. Born on the 20th of Kislev, November 29, 1950, in Rechovot. He completed his studies at the “Moriah” elementary school, and was a member of the Maccabi youth club. He was active in every party and tour. He was devoted to his parents and family, and to anyone who came into contact with him. He was drafted into the IDF in November 1968, and served in the Armored Corps. He fell in battle, in the Suez Canal area, on the 21st of Adar, March 11, 1969. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery, in Rehovot.
