Aumann (Oxman), Moshe (Moishik)


Son of Etka and Zvi Oksman, he was born on 17.2.1933 in Tel Aviv. Moishik grew up in Moshav Ganei Am in the Sharon region and studied at the elementary school in Kfar Malal, where he completed his studies at the elementary school and worked as a carpenter. Moishik was a member of the Hanoar Haoved youth movement, and he took a course in the Gadna commanders and was ordained as a squad commander. When he was drafted into the IDF at the end of 1950, he was assigned to serve in the Navy as a naval commando engineer, and during the course of his service in the army he underwent a course for officers and other advanced training courses, and in 1964 he studied at the Technician Training College. At the beginning of November 1982, Moishik was called up for reserve duty to serve as a senior judicial officer. When the disaster in Tire and the administration building collapsed on its inhabitants, Lieutenant Colonel (res.) Moshe Aumann was among the residents of the house. On the 25th of Cheshvan 5743 (11.11.1982) Moshe (Moishik) was killed while performing his duties and was put to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. He left behind a wife and two sons, parents and two sisters.
